Non-rising Stem Resilient Seated Gate Valve
1. Product Overview
Non-rising stem resilient seated gate valve, also known as concealed stem soft seal gate valve, is an ideal shut-off device specially designed for limited installation space such as buried valve wells, underground pipe galleries and narrow pipeline chambers. Different from rising stem gate valves, its stem thread is hidden inside the valve bonnet without extending upward during opening and closing. Equipped with an integrally vulcanized EPDM rubber wedge, the valve realizes bidirectional zero leakage, fully compliant with drinking water sanitation and municipal water supply engineering standards.
2. Structural & Working Principle
The internal threaded sleeve drives the valve stem and rubber wedge to lift or lower vertically inside the valve body:
When rotating the handwheel to open the valve, the stem only rotates without protruding out of the bonnet; the wedge ascends inside the valve cavity to fully open the flow channel.
When closing, the wedge descends, and the elastic rubber on the wedge closely fits the valve body sealing surface for bubble-tight sealing.
The built-in multi-layer waterproof O-rings isolate underground mud, sewage and humid air, effectively preventing stem corrosion and external medium leakage.
A position indicator is installed on the top of the bonnet to visually display open/closed status without observing stem extension.
3. Main Material Advantages
Valve Body & Bonnet: High-strength ductile iron, full fusion bonded epoxy coating inside and outside, anti-rust, anti-corrosion, no secondary pollution to tap water.
Sealing Wedge: Ductile iron core with integral vulcanized food-grade EPDM rubber, strong adhesion, wear-resistant, self-compensating for machining gaps and sediment abrasion.
Valve Stem & Thread Sleeve: Stainless steel 2Cr13 / 304, anti-rust, low friction, smooth operation with small torque.
Sealing Packing: Imported rubber O-rings, aging-resistant, long-term underground buried service without water seepage.

Bidirectional tight sealing, no leakage under full pressure; straight-through flow passage with minimal fluid resistance, available for pipeline pigging.
Optional extended stem extension rod for deep buried valve wells, convenient ground surface operation.
Multiple driving modes: handwheel, gear operator, electric actuator, pneumatic actuator for automatic pipeline control.
